Music to my Ears Embed This Article
Slipknot, a nine member metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa in 1995, has just recently released their fourth studio album.  All Hope Is Gone was released on August 26, 2008.

All Hope Is Gone debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.  This has proven to all other metal bands that they can play their style of music that they want to play without having to mix other genres like pop and rap.

I think that All Hope Is Gone is one of their best albums, and songs like “Psychosocial” and “Sulfur” remind us of Slipknot’s amazing talents as individual musicians.

I think that it’s amazing how all eight instruments and the lead singer Corey’s vocals mix together in one melodic sound.

Slipknot has released two singles from All Hope Is Gone.  Their first single is entitled “Psychosocial” which released on July 18, 2008, and “Dead Memories” released on October 28, 2008.  Slipknot is expected to release a third single, “Sulfur” in April 2009.

Slipknot has just finished their tour in the United States and is about to head to Canada.  I hope that Slipknot will come back and tour in the States soon.  Overall, I would give All Hope Is Gone four and a half stars out of a possible five and I highly recommend it.
