After their first game played behind the Frolio, Abington High is starting their JV baseball season off in the best way that they can with a win. Their record is now 1-0. They faced Cardinal Spellman for their first victory with a score of 11-4.
Paul Noble was 2-2 in the first game with a HR, 4 RBIs and reached base all 4 times. Junior Kyle Linehan pitched 7 innings, striking out 5. He did not allow an earned run.
Coach Serino said he has a very good group to work with. The team is just starting off, so he knows the group is going to get better as the season progresses. He also said the boys have a commitment to win this season, and come out with a great record.
I also asked him if there were any injures. He said so far there were not. He also hopes to keep it that way because he knows the team will do well together and learn from their mistakes.
