I would like to welcome back all returning THS students! Summer is over and we're in school once again, but it’s not bad as it seems. After all, we get to catch up with old friends and make new ones as the year progresses. I'd also like to welcome our incoming freshmen and on the behalf of the Pirateer Newspaper staff, I wish you the best of luck and of course, a great time here at Tottenville High School.

Do something different this year! There are so many sports teams and clubs that you can be a part of. Some examples are SING, Classic Rock Club, Anime Club, Key Club, and the Student Organization (S.O.). Clubs are a fun and great way to make new friends who share your interests. If you have any questions about clubs or after-school activities, Ms. Tierno is the person to go to! Her office is located at the back of the large cafeteria.

I hope all of you are ready to get back into the school routine! No more late nights watching TV or sleeping till twelve in the afternoon! It’s time to get busy! I’m looking forward to a great year here at Tottenville High School! Are you?
