[ArticleImageHyperLink] District Rapist Thursday, May 24, 2012 By Tessa Egan Advertising Snake River Junior High School principal Christopher Cox was arraigned on Feb. 9 in Blackfoot for three separate accounts of sexual abuse with a child under 16.   If charged, Cox could receive three felonies, as well as a 25-year prison term and a $50,000 fine for each of the three counts of sexual abuse.  Cox retained a private attorney and was released back into the custody of his wife, although he has been forbidden from coming into contact with the alleged victim, or any other minor other than his own children.  Cox was arrested following a complaint from a student who has since moved out of the state.  Cox, who has been principal for two years, has been placed on administrative leave. The Bingham county school district has provided extra counselors at Snake River Junior High for students who may need someone to talk to. The district is also keeping all administration in their district up to date.
