During 4th period lunch, Ms. Colangelo can usually be found lounging upon the comfiest chairs in the library. The couch-like chairs just out of earshot of any attentive superintendent proved to be a perfect place to interview one of Fenwick's newest health teachers. I found Ms. Colangelo playing a game of solitaire on her laptop when I meandered into the library. She proved to be quick witted, easygoing, and animated as I bombarded her with the most random questions I could produce.

Kelly Green. It makes my eyes look good.
If you could have lunch with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
John Lennon. Because he’s awesome. I’m all about peace. And love. And so is he. It sounds weird coming from me but it’s true. And he had a sleep in! A bed in! That’s cool as [heck]. Him and Yoko had a… You know how people have, like, sit ins? Everyone was supposed to stay in bed, at home, all day. And that was their protest.
Do you wear all black to show school spirit?
No.
You wear it just… because?
I wear it because it… Slims my figure? *Laughs* And it’s a school color. And it’s easy to match with anything. It’s a neutral color. I have multiple colored headbands (to match with).
What’s your favorite book?
Catcher in the Rye.
If you could punch a star in the face, who would you punch?
Tyra Banks/Celine Dion. Actually if they were hugging, and two semis smashed into them, that is my dream. I will not see the movie Titanic because of Celine Dion.
Do you have any pets?
No. I do not like animals. My children’s pets will be the birds in the trees and the squirrels on the ground. Maybe a goldfish.
Favorite movie?
As of lately, I think Garden State.
If you could choose between hot dogs and spaghetti, which would you choose?
Spaghetti, do you know my last name? Hello? I’m a hardcore [Italian]. I might as well be on Jersey Shore.
Do you have a favorite Bible quote?
Be a good person… Follow the golden rule! I seriously enjoy that. On my computer, on my phone, everywhere… I write, “Be a good person”, and “Today is a great day.” You know? If you see those things constantly? You know what I mean? Like, even if it’s a crappy day you’re going to start believing it’s a good day.
Spiderman or Superman’s powers?
Spider. Spidey senses.
Do you play any sports besides volleyball?
Yes. I was on a track team in college, as well as volleyball, I fully enjoy football. I’m on a softball team… I like most sports. I like being outdoors.
What’s your favorite outdoor activity?
Bean bags. Bean bags and grilling.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Oh my gassshhh. Ten years… I will have at least 4 children, I will be… still a coach. Hopefully have some good accomplishments under my belt. I want to see some really good things happen for Fenwick volleyball. I want to see a return on my investment.
