Basketball Player

Q: What positions do you play?

A: Guard.

Q: How long have you been playing?

A: I have been playing basketball

since I was about seven or eight

years old, until I had a life-threatening

accident on the court. I collided with

another player and had a concussion

and was unconscious until the next

morning. The doctors told my parents

that they didn’t know if I would live,

but if I did I would be brain-dead. I am

still here today though and still playing

my heart out because basketball is

what I live for.

Q: Varsity or Junior Varsity?

A: I am a Junior Varsity player,

striving and working hard for my

spot on Varsity.

Q: Do you play other sports?

A: Yes, I do. I love to run track

and field.

Q: Do you plan to make basketball a

life-long sport?

A: As mentioned before, basketball

is my life, so I plan on pursuing

it as a career.

Q: Is basketball a family sport?

A: Yes, we all started young

and grew to love the game.

Q: Would you want to be famous for

basketball?

A: Yes, I want to be a very

well-known player.

Q: Would you want to play for Houston?

A: No, I wouldn’t want to play

for a Houston team. I’m from Louisiana,

so I want to play for LSU.
