The BGHS Winter Art Show was held on December 16th, 2011 and it turned out to be a huge success!
In first place for the freshman, we had Carrie Kovacik, 2 for Lexi Thill, Brett Eriks, Lauren Kuypers. Bayli Gromer, George Becker, Chloe Bates, 3 for Alex Walter, and Taylor Clarich. In first place for the sophomores, we had 2 for Nicole Malouhos, 2 for Cassidy Kissinger, Justin Knopf, 3 for Stephanie Montreuil, Kristen Buth, Taylor Clarich, Steve Bernal, Michael Reid, 2 for Lauren Jakubczyk, Cecilia Sanchez, 2 for Alyssa Fernandez, and Kristen Spangenberg. In first place for the juniors, we have 2 for MacKenzie Starcevich, Jeannette Barcenas, Victoria Del Risco, Emily McKinstry, Maryam Adisa, Brandi Frankovich, Michael Grimberg, Grace Jones, Stephanie Saricos, Brittany Crenshaw, 2 for Lucas Aliff, Christy Hendron, Brianna Naulty, and Faith Dammarell. In first place for the seniors, we had Sean Goodfellow, 2 for Thomas Mikos, Brittany Shaffer, Juan Garcia, 2 for Carly Francis, and 2 for Allison Rice.
In second place for the freshman, we had two for Andi Burczyk, Joe Hanvey, Emily Lykkegaard, Ben Joiner, Brett Eriks, Austin Nelson, 2 for Elizabeth Polak, Noah Rodriguez, 3 for Samuel Pauk, Sean Miller, and Lexi Thill. In second place for sophomores, we had 3 for Sarah Steinhilber, Lauren Adler, Olivia McClafferty, Kristen Spangenberg, Stephanie Montreuil, Cassidy Kissinger, Alyssa Del Risco, Jake Krischke, and Alex Colvin. In second place for the juniors, we had 2 for Jeannette Barcenas, Kelly Vickers, Grace Jones, Kayla Polinsky, Sabrina Williams, Stephanie Saricos, Juan Mendoza, Alyssa Fernandez, Justin Knopf, Devan Jabo, and Katie Kustron. In second place for the seniors, we had 3 for Juan Garcia, 3 for Rachel Lamb, Cheryl Guest, 2 for Kaitlin Bank, Allison Rice and Katie Batton.

In third place for the sophomores, we had Wade VanDenburg, Hailey Gloden, Stephanie Montreuil, Harley Loy, Jake Krischke, Michael Reid, Martha Salas, and Steve Bernal. In third place for the juniors, we had Jessica Lawton, Hannah Golwitzer, Maryam Adisa, 2 for Grace Jones, Kyle Trowbridge, Kaycee Ippolito, and Casey Ward. In third for seniors, we had John Wallington, Chris Vasquez, Thomas Mikos, Rachel Lamb, Fred Mioduski, Kaitlin Bank, and Juan Garcia.
Our judge for the show was Allie Thomas, a former BG art student who attended the Art Institute of Indianapolis. The covers for the program, were designed by two senior artists, Cheryl Guest and Juan Garcia.
In first place overall was Jeannette Barcenas. In second place overall was a tie with Chris Vasquez and Lucas Aliff. The Principal’s Choice was a tie with Both Carly Francis with her Acrylic Painting and Color Wheel Design. Then Assistant Prinipal’s Choice was a tie with Allison Rice and Jeannette Barcenas.
Congrats to all the winners! You all did a great job!
