At-a-glance

Dragons, dragons everywhere, and not a smith to forge me some dragon bone armor. Dungeons around every corner and my pack is overflowing with junk before I ever lay eyes on the entrance. Thus is the life of the destined Dovahkiin. Rid the world of evil and be burdened by endless heaps of junk. Weather you choose to be a thief and earn a living in the sewers of the Rift, or a mage and learn more of the arcane at the College of Winterhold, your destiny and life are loosely guided until you defeat the World Devourer.
Yes, those of you who truly understood a scrap of what was mentioned above, I am speaking of the one and only glorious Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. For those brave enough to tread past the unknown and are reading this clueless, allow me to explain. Skyrim is a game developed and distributed by Valve. It is for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Once you choose your preferred style of gaming, you're well on your way to becoming the next hero of Skyrim. When you first start out, the game is very confusing. You are rooted in a cart with only camera movement. You're stuck in first person view and can't move.”What's going on!?” you ask yourself. Suddenly some guy says you were caught crossing the border of somewhere. You just got here! You didn't get caught doing anything!
After a rather annoying ride, you arrive in a small town. And your head is about to start rolling... Literally. You're being sent to eduction! But by some miracle (One note. I will be avoiding major spoiler scenes for those who have yet to discover them) you're alive! Now you have to choose. The guy in red or blue? Personally, I went with the red. He seemed more official. More just. What can I say? I like the good guys. So escape the keep being... Ah... Showered with flowers.. Yeah, that's it... You're headed to a small town called Riverwood. Nice town. Small. But nice. From there, your life awaits. The tight, guided storyline fades.. Nearly instantly. You can do ANYTHING. Go explore the forests. Go to the keep over the hill. Go visit the Mage's Collage. Go join an army. Go dragon hunting. Go ruins ransacking. Make a life for yourself. Start a job as a blacksmith. Or an alchemist. Or an enchanter. The roads are UNLIMITED!
Following the main storyline, you're basically trying to kill Alduin. The ah... Flower dragon. Yeah. He was the guy pelting the keep with flowers. It would be terribly too long to tell out the whole story, so I won't. But know you have options. You can get Alduin out of the way right away, or go get some hardcore training in clearing out old ruins. You can go buy a house and find a spouse, or make a best friend and go dungeon raiding side by side. And the story never ends. It just starts at your last save if you die. So save often. And go knowing with many choices, you can also make many characters. From gamer to gamer, never stop at one character.
