Senior Justin Corcoran swept the title of Mr. THS at the first annual contest on March 13.
Other successful contestants included Ethan Bukowiec, second place, Daniel Carlson, third place, and Greg Keohane, Mr. Congeniality.
There were seven upper house contestants: Ethan Bukowiec, Daniel Carlson, Greg Keohane, Jake Laforge, Logan Rohrbaugh, Justin Corcoran, and Richard Lindenfelzer.
The event took place in the auditorium at 6:30 on Friday the 13, and was hosted by senior Ashley Donovan and Mr. James Robson.
Contestants prepared for an opening act/dance, casual wear, formal wear, a talent, and question and answers.
Talents ranged from ribbon dancing to improv, and had the audience laughing from start to end.
“The opening dance was really something,” said Principal Don Ciampa. “It was one of the best nights we’ve had at THS.”
The opening act was one of the favorite acts of the night. The dance was choreographed by seniors Meaghan LaBrecque, Allison Millerick, Ashley Donovan, and Christina Bills.
It was a great way to bring everyone together,” said Meaghan LaBrecque. “They caught on a lot faster than I thought they would.”
After preparing for the routine in AB prep for nearly a week, the contestants felt closer and formed a bond.
“We were all friends originally but everything was so fun that we couldn’t help but feel like we weren’t competing,” said Richard Lindenfelzer.
The competition was a fundraiser for the senior class, with just under $1200 in profits.
