Even though Tyngsboro is a small town, it is bursting with talent. That talent comes in the form of one word. Inherent is a band that plays at school functions, and one day plans to make it big.

Two years ago, senior lead singer Chris Donahue formed the band with guitarist and high school graduate Kevin Green. Soon after, they were joined by senior Bill Carpenter, who plays the drums, and junior Breton Jaggers, who now attends the Greater Lowell Technical High School, on guitar.

"All of us have born talents, and these talents have made it possible to come together and perform music that people can relate to," stated Donahue.

According to Carpenter, they practice at Green's and the auditorium after school.

"Scheduling practices tends to be difficult," admitted Carpenter because Jaggers now attends a different school and Green has already graduated high school.

The band, however, is not new to 2009. They have performed at the Pig and Apple Fest, graduation parties, Tyngsboro High School Talent show and Medford Park. Medford Park has been their most diverse performance so far.

"It really brought us out to experience a different feel with a different crowd" said Donahue.

"My favorite song would have to be Come on Stay Strong" stated Tyngsboro High School senior Alysha Smith. "It reminds me of summer."

Inherent gets their inspiration from other bands such as Rise Against and Relient K . They write and perform songs that look on the brighter side of situations, with an edge of pop and punk.

Donohue wants to have a career in the music industry, while Carpenter wants to continue with music but also would like to attend college.
