Patricia DaSilva is the Athlete of the Month! Patty is a junior that transferred to our school through the Foreign Exchange Student program. “I love to play,” says Patty, “I started playing about three years ago and fell in love with the sport.”
According to Coach Boudreaux, “She’s extremely talented in tennis. She’s gifted; she’s really good!” When asked about the region tournament coming up, September 29th & 30th, he said, “I think she will do very well in the region tournament. Since she became a part of our team, she hasn’t lost a game.”
Another teammate, Laura Madsen, said, “Patty’s amazing, no joke. You’d think someone from Brazil would be good at soccer, and they are, but apparently they’re good at tennis too.”
For coming in two weeks into the tennis season, Patty has served, back-handed, and swung her way to the top.
