On November 24, 2010, Impowitz, the schools Improv team, had its opening show. Impowitz president, Jesse Markus said, “The show went good. We have lots of good people this year and we hope to have lots of successful shows.” For those of you who don’t know what Improv is, performers are selected to act in a variety of games where they must make up the scene on the spot. These games include: “Here comes chuck”, “Taxi”, “Rants” and many more. The Improv team also encourages audience participation such as picking the setting of the scene. The audience received the show very well. Sophomore Michelle Barton said, “They can be put on the spot and say anything they want.” The Improv team practices on Mondays and Wednesdays, with Mondays being open practices where anyone can come. Sophomore John Taylor, who is on the team this year, said, “It’s fun, a lot of fun.” The next Improv show will be on February 12^th.  Impowitz hopes to see you there!
