And it is the time to come back to the place where you began your athletic career. It is the Northwest Athletics’ Hall of Fame. Held at Northwest on Friday September 11, 2009, seven previous Northwest students were inducted by Athletic director Jim Tapley and Principle Lance Dempsey to the Northwest Hall of Fame, for their athletic performance and dedication to the school. The former team captains, players, athletes that were inducted are Eric MacDonald, Matt Logie, Lauren Russell, Salim Koroma, Caleb Seufert, Sean Clark, and Randy Trivers.
The first inductee was Eric MacDonald from the class of 2003, who played both soccer and volleyball. It was his contribution to Jags Soccer that brought MacDonald to the Hall of Fame.” Senior year was hard. I was captain during the sniper attacks. It was hard to get our chemistry in our team, but we did our best to be a team” he explained. MacDonald started all four years for the soccer team, and won the Jaguar Award for soccer. He had many other honors including All Montgomery County Journal, All- Gazette, and Honorable Mention All-State. After Northwest he got a scholarship to play soccer at Robert Morris University.” Keep working hard, it will get you far in life,” MacDonald advised.

She received a scholarship to play basketball at West Liberty State College in West Virginia. “I had patience to play, because in college I had to wait to start,” said Russell.
