Teenagers can’t keep their hands off each other

On some level, we are all attracted to things such as danger and sex. Some of us deny our attraction, but why deny it? This attraction goes way back to primitive times when it helped keep us alive. Having sex results in the production of children, which is how we keep our race going. Our primitive instincts urge us to reproduce and continue our species. Danger gives us adrenaline rushes and adds excitement to our lives. As a species, we are addicted to danger. Maybe that’s why the idea of public displays of affection is so attractive to high school students. It’s arousing heading towards reproduction, but with the added danger of being caught. Could this be the reason high school students push the envelope as to how far they can go in the middle of the hall way?

Maybe it’s because we are still technically kids (even though some of us are 18 or older) and most of us have to live at home and deal with our parents and the rules and boundaries they set. Most of these rules do not include allowing as to do as we desire with our lovers.  Or maybe the students that engage in public displays of affection are just so totally in love they just can’t resist ravishing one another. They can’t even wait for a few minutes so that they’re alone.

While any of these possibilities are probable, these students who engage in public displays of affection are probably just a product of our lax society, where lust always beats out love.  The practice of writing little love notes in secret and having a romantic emotional courtship is long dead, replaced by steamy French kisses in the hallway viewable to 2000 pairs of eyes.

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with holding hands and even offering a sweet kiss now and then.  That’s beautiful and sweet.

There is a big difference between sneaking a kiss and openly groping each other.

I come to school to learn, not to see something I could download for free on the Internet. It’s not fair to me or the other 2000 kids, multiple teachers and on campus staff at school. None of us are here to watch you grope your significant other.

I don’t consider myself a prude at all, I just believe that groping your significant other in the hallway causes an awkward situation for everyone around. I absolutely hate walking by a couple making out in some random corner. I try to avoid eye contact, but sometimes my eyes will meet one of theirs and than there’s that awkward moment. Sometimes I have the urge to pull apart couples and tell them to get a room. Some of these couples look at me like I’m a bother. It’s like “hello? You’re kissing in public!” I have every flipping right to be walking in the hallways.”Many of my friends have encountered couples making out and holding onto each onto in front of their lockers and when the couple is asked to move, they glare at you with annoyance. That’s my locker, emphasis on the mine part. If you’re so disturbed at being interrupted, then find a room, go lock yourself in a broom closet or find in empty classroom. I really don’t care as long as you stay away from my locker.

Couples making out also block pathways.  It’s really not that we have to walk to much further. It’s just the principle of it. I shouldn’t have to walk an extra step because two or three human beings can’t stop touching each other.

Our society has strayed away from what is moral and instead it’s taken a darker turn. Ungrateful, lazy disrespectful students are the product of our society. Once parents and teachers taught the difference between right and wrong, today they don’t and instead they back their kids up even when they do not deserve. Everyone’s taken the “my-kids-cannot-be wrong” attitude.  It’s ridiculous.  It’s always some other kid overreacting.

Where is our society headed to? Kids lack respect and morals. They can’t even manage to keep their hands off of one another in a public setting such as high school. Way to go, our generation is wonderful. I’m sure we’ll do great things. Although must of those accomplishments will probably be in the adult entertainment industry.
