After seeing several all-age music venues fail, some would wonder why Allyson Lowery and Jamie Prott would take the risk of starting one up. Skull Alley is their new venue.
Location, alone, makes Skull Alley more open to the youth of today’s music scene in Louisville. It’s located at 1017 E. Broadway which is very close to the Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue area which seems to be increasingly popular with Louisville’s youth.
Both Prott and Lowery are providing far more than just a music venue for local and regional bands. Skull Alley is also an art gallery for local upcoming artists to showcase and sell their works.
In addition, they have provided a screen-printing service which they hold the capabilities of printing on t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, and patches! On top of both of those wonderful contributions, Skull Alley has its own record label, appropriately titled Bright Skull Records.
Supporting a venue like Skull Alley is extremely important in Louisville’s music scene. The venue houses music from many different genres and is dedicated to helping grow and support our cities music scene.
