Do you ever wonder who plans all the events and activities here at Ortega High School? Well, we have a special class just for that. It is Business Leadership, an elective class taught by Mrs. Archer. So far in this course, we are planning the events for this (2009-2010) school year, such as the Blood Drive, which we will be having three times this year. We are also preparing for Red Ribbon week, Spirit days, Halloween ideas, Birthday Grams, fundraisers and much more. Students in our school can participate in these fun activities, earn community service and raise money for prom and perhaps a special senior trip, such as going to Six Flags. By planning and doing these awesome activities, we will get to the point of understanding the importance of respecting others, appreciating social diversity, and communicating and comprehending ourselves. It will even develop our leadership abilities. Business Leadership is a great class to be in if you enjoy volunteering and being involved with our school. If you are interested in becoming a part of leadership, help yourself by speaking to our school counselor, Mr. Nessman, or Mrs. Archer. Have fun enjoying our upcoming events this month!!
