11,2009-The Invisible Children cause has presented the world with news of an
injust war going on in Uganda that most of us have never heard of. Founded
by Laren Poole, Jason Russell, and Bobby Bailey in 2003, the foundation
has raised over $7,000,000 in funds to see the end of this horrible
catastrophe. If you've seen the intro video on their website you can
pretty much agree that action should've been taken sooner than now.
Sending
over U.S. troops doesn't seem like a bad idea at first, but with the war in
Iraq and Afghanistan, there's hardly any importance being placed on fixing a
foreign country's problem. Here, we consider the importance of humanity and the
relationships we all share with each other. This is what the founders of this
cause have displayed; a commitment towards finding a way to the end of this
despair.
