It's hard to imagine a dining experience as interesting, exquisite and delicious as the one at La Caille. Although quite pricey, you won't regret your dining experience at the magnificent La Callie.
For starters you can start with one of their extraordinary Hors-d' Oeuvres, and I personally recommend Escargots Bourguignon, which is French Provencal snails broiled in herbal butter and burgundy wine sauce for the price of $14.00. And after you've enjoyed your delectable Hors-d' Oeuvres, you'll probably want to order one of their many delicious entrees, for example, L’ Espadon Picatta, which is a North Atlantic Swordfish lightly pounded and sautéed with Chardonnay, capers and garlic, which is served with your choice of salad for $34.00.
And after you have finished your meal you'll defintely want to try one of the many tasty deserts such as Flaming Baked Alaska which is a delicious Raspberry ice cream surrounded by yellow cake with a coat of meringue and bathed with flaming Courvoisier VS Cognac for $15.00. And if you're over twenty-one you'll definitely want to try the prized wines that they make at La Caille straight from their beautiful grape vineyards.
Although quite pricey you definitely get your money's worth at this beautiful restaurant surrounded by vineyards and gardens, which is a creation from the minds of David Johnson, Steven Runolfson and Mark Haug, the owners. They have spent over twenty years creating what is commonly referred to as a "must see" in the Salt Lake area. La Caille has also received the AAA Four-Diamond award for 8 consecutive years, an achievement unmatched by any other Utah restaurant. And it's definitely not hard to see why with magnificent, beautiful restaurant that resembles a historic French castle and beautiful vineyards in the back as well as a pond with beautiful swans, ducks, and fish that inhabit it's clear waters, as well as the beautiful quails that you'll see running around La Caille's property which is in fact what La Caille means in English, Quill. But my description doesn't do any justice for the most beautiful restaurant in Utah. I definitely recommend that everyone visits La Caille and enjoy the delectable food as well as the beautiful atmosphere that La Caille brings.
La Caille is located at 9565 Wasatch Blvd. Salt Lake City, UT. Reservations at La Caille are highly recommended. You can request a reservation by contacting a staff member at La Caille at 801-942-1751. I definitely give La Caille five stars, and I hope your experience at La Caille will be as amazing, unique, and wonderful as mine was!
