The Shelton Chargers fell short to the Pantego Cougars Friday at UTA due to some unfortunate events.  The Chargers had an awful first quarter, with the Cougars scoring 21 points and the Chargers scoring only 6 points.  But the Chargers really turned it on in the second half being able to stop the Cougars.  Both teams were held to zero in the second quarter and gave some confidence to the Chargers.  Then the third quarter came around and the Cougars scored another 21 points to the Charger 13.  In the final quarter the Chargers and the Cougars both scored a touchdown, but Pantego kicked a field goal for the 1-point and the charger had a failed attempt for 2.  In the end of the game the score was 49-25 Cougars, with an upsetting loss for the Chargers. Ben Luedtke and Rich Morton ran for a combined total of 260 yards.  Teams had high numbers of rushing yards, Pantego had 236 and the Chargers had 272.  Unfortunately, the Chargers could not come out with a win but plan on moving on after the bi-week to play Prince of Peace in the Homecoming game.
