A man named Wayne Stevenson, in Barrhead, Canada threatened to infect police officers with HIV by spitting on them. I haven’t a clue what he did in the first place, but during the incident he was throwing more threats towards the officers. He also went and head-butted and kicked one of the officers name Kenny Muir. The man had other charges against him…and is now waiting until November 3rd for a social enquiry report and community service assessment to be compiled.
Another strange story from that same area is a dentist that carried the HIV virus, and could have possibly spread it to his patients as well. This is a horrible situation; the police had to send out over 5,000 letters to all his patients. It is a small chance that they would catch the disease, but they still needed to know and be cautioned. All the patients were offered free tests to see if they had contracted the disease. They are unsure if anyone has contracted it or not. It is still unknown.
These are very strange incidents, but things like this actually do happen whether you believe they do or not. It is crazy, but rather interesting. I guess you aren’t able to fully trust anyone, not even those who are out to help you and keep your healthy satisfactory. I know that if my dentist had ever done something like that I would have freaked out real fast. What sort of professional does this kind of thing? It is sketchy, and he should be punished for not telling his patients what was wrong with him. In my eyes that was a horrible thing to do and to do it to so many people. There are many things he could have done instead. Why this choice?
