The solo that I thought deserved this weeks title was the amazing keyboard solo in the song “Back to the Magic of Childhood: Exploring Life” by the Norwegian Prog Metal band “Pagan’s Mind”. The song is on their second Album “Celestial Entrance”. Ronny Tegner is the Keyboardist from the band and is extremely talented in all types of music but specializing in weird time signatures and off-time beats. The solo only last for about ten to fifteen seconds but the feelings and emotions those short seconds express is just amazing. It consists of awkward pitch bends and is in an Egyptian-type of scale which makes it very catchy. I must insist on checking this band out if you want something different and something that will take you to a whole new place in your mind.
