Spiking the ball across the net back and forth, the Chandler volleyball team got off on a good start against the Gilbert Tigers.

“When we won the first match we pretty much thought we had the whole game in the bag,” said Blaire Hunt, senior.

The team started off by winning the first game and the second started with much competition. It was a tough game and by the end it was tied won game to one.

“We tried hard,” Haylee Thompson, senior, said. “In the end, we just lost all our excitement.”

Though the final score was 3 games to one, the score, however, doesn’t do the Lady Wolves justice.

“It was a tough loss,” said super-fan Mr. Kyle Darr, English.

The crowd never lost its enthusiasm.

“The teams both played so well, it was a heartbreaker,” Darr added.

The Wolves will enter region play over break
