Senior Kelsey Norris was recently accepted into the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising School. She will be enrolled in the campus located in Los Angeles.

     “I chose LA because it’s the best place for networking and styling,” said Norris.

     She turned in her application at the campus in San Francisco and found out that day that she was accepted.

     Norris has always been very interested in fashion.

     “It’s a way to say who you are without having to speak,” said Norris. “Life is a party, so dress like it.”

     The application consisted of three different projects as well as a few letters of recommendation, two essays and a packet. For the three projects, she had to design a store window display, create the interior of the store and design something out of a circle, square and a triangle.

     Norris will be majoring in Visual Communications.

     “Visual Communications is styling, making displays, and basically showing the world your style through your work,” said Norris.

     While she is attending FIDM, she will be working part time at Nordstrom and plans on interning at a store for a magazine or designer.

     “I’ve always loved fashion,” said Norris. “I can’t wait to go to the fashion school of my dreams and do what I love to do.”
