Are you a student with an overloaded schedule? Some might not know how to handle this type of situation. Some might give up.

    This is not one of those cases; this student overcame the odds and will soon cheer in London, England with the All-American team in the London’s New Year Parade. This is the year of Deshae Riddle.

            Riddle will be flying to London in December with several other girls from the United States. Together, they will form a cheer squad that will represent the United States.

            This opportunity came when Riddle attended cheer camp with her fellow Baler cheerleaders last summer. While at the camp they were given the opportunity to compete against other cheerleaders from the Northern California region for a chance to be on the All-American team. Riddle was one of the lucky few to make it onto the All-American team.

            The Hollister community has been supporting the girls in various ways, including financial support from fundraisers. On October 15, U.S.A Sports had a fundraiser that was Halloween-themed and included food, games, and even a costume parade.
