Puss in Boots Movie Poster - Dreamworks Animation
Recently, I went to see the movie “Puss in Boots.” Being a cat owner, I can relate to the humor
of this movie. There were many parts in the movie where the audience burst out in laughter.
The movie was a spin-off of “Shrek”, the movie in which the character Puss first appeared.
This movie had many different stories packed into it. I didn’t think that Puss’s back story was so
dynamic but, the other tales in the movie added more feeling to the plot of the movie.
“Puss in Boots,” which is rated PG, is something everyone will find funny at all ages. Some of the
parts the audience found funny were just cats doing their thing, but in a funny way. In one scene in a
bar, Puss got a shot of milk and started slurping it with his tongue. In another part the audience found it
funny when Puss started chasing a light even though he is a skilled fighter.
The story took place in the Middle Ages just like the Shrek movies did. “Puss in Boots” had two
tales in it besides the story about him. It had Humpty Dumpty. And it had Jack and Jill. The characters in
these two tales played key roles in movie.
I thought the movie was really enjoyable with all of its silly tales.
“I loved the part where Puss in Boots was in a bar, sipping a milk shot,” said Marilyn Rizo, who is my mom.
“After watching the movie all I could think about was all the cats I had in my life,” said
Tony Anchundo, who’s my step dad.
“The best part of this movie was the way the funny cats’ acted,” said sophomore Jonathan Varela.
“Puss in Boots” conveys a message that people should be true friends and have honor. To see Puss’s journey all the way through as he tries to restore his honor, I give this movie an eight out of 10.
