The Lake Shore Boys Swim Team is looking forward to finishing their season by placing well, as in past years, at the Macomb County Gold Division meet which will be held at South Lake High School. Thursday, February 25^th will be diving; Friday, February 26^th will be preliminaries; and Saturday, February 27^th will be finals. The boys had their first dual meet on Thursday, December 10, away against L’Anse Creuse North. The guys also have home meets on Thursday, January 14^th against Marysville/Mott, Tuesday, January 19^th against Lamphere, and Thursday, January 21^st against Clawson. The Lake Shore relays will be held on Friday, January 8th in the Lake Shore pool and the tri-city meet will be held on Friday, January 22^nd at Lakeview High School. 

   The 2008 Swim season was a success.  The boys placed 2^nd out of 6 teams at their division meet.  Coach Tom Zalewski says, “We should have a good season, though we only have four upper classmen.” Zalewski adds, “We look forward to holding a division title next season.” The team lost quite a few seniors last year, leaving them with only four upper classmen. The boys will have to work hard this season and work with the new swimmers to prepare for the season and the rest to come. They do have the advantage of having divers (Craig Kapp, Cruz Kapp and Roger Young) giving them extra points during dual meets.  When asked about how he felt about this season, Mohamad Alhindi responded, “A lot of people are becoming more devoted than last year.” Alhindi went on to say, “The team is more than a team, it’s a family.” Let’s wish the guys luck on the rest of their season!
