Wondering what a day in the life of love with some of your favorite stars would be like? “Valentine’s Day” is the movie with over 15 recognizable faces in Hollywood that are hitting the big screen with their break-ups and make-ups of Valentine’s Day.
“Valentine’s Day” is a comedy movie that takes place in Los Angeles and follows the lives of 10 people that cross each other on Valentine’s Day. “This movie is just about people loving each other and missing out and getting it right, and it’s pretty incredible,” comments Julia Roberts, one of the stars appearing in the movie. “Valentine’s Day” already has fans waiting to view the movie with their former favorite couple, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift, who play a young couple who believe they are in love. The role of Morley Clarkson, a main character in the movie, went to Jessica Alba, after being in competition with Rachel McAdams and Elizabeth Banks who also auditioned for the role, but didn’t make it. Jake Gyllenhaal and Orlando Bloom both turned down the role of Holden, which went to Bradley Cooper.
The new comedy shows the pressures and expectations of Valentine’s Day in a comical way, unlike “My Bloody Valentine,” which was last year’s top Valentine’s Day film. “I think it will be successful, ‘New York I Love You’ had a lot of stars and it turned out to be a great movie,” says Lake Shore senior, Andrea Henk. Even though the movie has fans waiting to see the it, some people are hesitant because they feel that it is too much like the move “He’s Just Not That Into You” that was also filled with several stars and was directed by Garry Marshall, the director of “Valentine’s Day.” Let’s see if “Valentine’s Day” can live up to it’s huge expectations.
