    Drip…Drip…Tap…Tap…keep it up!

Raise your hand if you go to Runner’s Club. Ouch, that is not a lot of hands raised. Well, why not go? Runner’s Club is a great way to exercise, train, and have fun with friends.

Runner’s Club is held every Tuesday and Thursday after school; ending at 3:30. During Runner’s Club, Mr. La Plant or Ms. Spears lead the runner’s in stretching, and then the whole club jogs a lap. There is a different running course or activity that the runner’s participate in; ranging from raw running to relays. A good example of an activity in Runners club would be running across the wash or the famous Tiny’s run (where the runners run a course to Tiny’s and get an ice cream). Runner’s Club tries to make running interesting and rewarding for the runners.

Now do not get me wrong, but for all you serious runners out there in school, Runner’s Club is perfect chance to train and improve. (All you beginners do not feel left out, come!!!) If you have to get fit for a competition in any sport, the Runner’s Club gives you just that. Some examples of excellent training held in Runner’s Club would be up hill running, long distance runs, and heat endurance.

Among all the sports, Running is the most basic yet required factor for success in being an athlete. Runner’s Club can help you improve in running and in your own personal sport. It provides a great form of exercise and can help you in your long term health. So why not get off your buttocks and try Runner’s Club? Remember, it is on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Bring your friends or ipod along. So be there or be Square!
