Have you ever wished you could go back in time and fix something that you did? Well, in 17 Again that is exactly what Mike O’ Donnell (Matthew Perry) dreams for. Twenty years ago when Mike was 17 he gave up on a big opportunity for college when his girlfriend Scarlet (Leslie Mann) got pregnant. So, now as an adult he is getting a divorce from Scarlet and his connection with his two kids Maggie (Michelle Trachtenberg) and Alex (Sterling Knight) is lost. Then one night he becomes 17 again, totally freaked out, he and best friend Ned (Thomas Lennon), try to figure it out. They then decide that Ned will pretend to be his father and enroll him back in his old high school. Adolescent Mike (Zac Efron) has trouble adjusting to the new styles and gadgets of the teen generation. Going to high school with his kids was harder then excepted finding out his daughter is not as naïve as he thought and his son Alex is the victim of the star basketball player’s rage. Mike then becomes friends with his son and gives him the confidence to join the basket ball team. He also tries everything he can to break Maggie up with her horrible boyfriend. Through becoming friends with his children he visits Scarlet and rediscovers why he fell in love with her so many years ago. This movie is filled with laughs and is a great story acted out really well. If you are not familiar with Zac Efron after this movie you will be sure to fall in love with him.
