These events have been at Sierra Vista for years. It is an American tradition to play football on thanksgiving week that is why Sierra Vista has a turkey bowl. The turkey trot is also a fun event that Sierra Vista hosts. People may not think that the turkey trot is as exciting as the turkey trot, but Sierra Vista has had both of these events for years.

      The Turkey Trot is an event were the students run around the school and get timed, but there is a catch, if you turn in canned items for the drive, you can get five seconds taken off of your original time for every can that you turn in.

The Turkey Bowl is the event everyone has been waiting for. It is made up of two eighth grade teams, the white team and the green team. The winning team will win a delicious turkey for every player on the team. The school has a special schedule made for the bowl. It will take place after school on November 25^th.

So make sure you bring your A game on the 24^th and 25^th of November and get ready for these thrilling events that will take place right here at Sierra Vista Jr. High.
