LA DODGERS!
DODGERS! DODGERS! DODGERS! The Dodgers are doing extremely well this year. Their in a whopping 3rd place behind the Anaheim Angels and New York Yankees. The Dodgers had four magnificent games this month for example August 2, 2009 they beat the Atlanta Braves 9-1, and August 4, 2009 they beat the Milwaukee Brewers 17-4, then August 26, 2009 they beat the Colorado Rockies 6-1, and last but not least they beat the Arizona Diamond Backs 9-3. The Dodgers certainly mean business.
They are a really good team, but that does not mean they never lose. Dodgers lost 2-8 against the Atlanta Braves. very sad, but there is a certain player we need to recognize and that player is Manny Ramirez. Manny Ramirez currently hits a batting average of 307. Manny has never hit below 290 since 1993 and 1994. His best year was surprisingly the first year he joined the Dodgers, and that’s when he hit a 390 batting average!
Theirs a few things the dodgers lacked on this month, the Dodgers were losing a ton of games at home this month. Dodgers tend to lose three games in row when they have already lost 2 games, for example, August 12 they lost 2-4, August 13 they lost 1-4, and August 14 they lost 3-4. The two key players are Russel Martin, and Rafael Furcal because their batting average is very low. The Dodgers hit a load of homeruns, but their key to success is to get someone on base now and then. Pitching for the Dodgers is covered, and they also have a really good pitcher named Padilla. The dodgers have a long way before they make it to the playoffs and reach the top!!
