Fort Verde Days was celebrated at the same time as fall break. It is a three day celebration of Fort Verde, a military fort against the Native Americans.
There were three parts to the celebration. One is the historical reenactments. There, they do reenactments of cannon shoots, gun fights, and a flag raise. There are also displays of guns and the houses of the people.
The second part is the bull bash. At the bull bash they have bulls for the adults. They had bull riding of Friday and Saturday and junior riding on Saturday and Sunday.
The third part was the carnival. There they had about seven rides, my favorite was the Zipper. Some more rides were the Tornado, The Graviton, The Farris Wheel, and the Star Trooper. They also had lots of games to win some things. They also had food stands. There was an art show as well, where they had a adult art show and a junior art show.
This year many of the CVUCS students attended this annual town event and had a great time! That's what was going on during fall break.
Here is a joke for my readers: What do you call a deer with no eyes?
No I deer.
