Each year the teachers of CVUCS have attended the ACSI Annual Teachers Convention in Mesa, Az. This event has been a popular one with the staff, because they get to interact with other teachers and attend seminars that give them new ideas to implement into their classrooms and teaching styles. This year, for the first time, they did not attend this convention and were instead taken on a spiritual retreat to Living Waters Retreat Center in Cornville.
 
     I interviewed Mrs. Showers and asked her some questions about the teachers retreat. my first question was, "Why did you decide to go with the teachers retreat instead of the A.C.S.I. convention?"
She replied, "For spiritual renewal".
I asked her how she thought the retreat would benefit the teachers. She told me that it gave them time to rest but a renewal of purpose. For my final question, I asked her if she was afraid that it would not go as planned. She replied,"Yes, but I put a lot of prayer into it".
