Examples of online television shows available online. - Asai Ali
Describing the students of Briar Woods High School as being busy, would be an understatement. With the demanding tasks of school work, sports, jobs, and a variety of other activities little of to no time is left for one of the biggest pastimes in America – television.

“I really like online television because I can just pop up my laptop and watch my favorite new show, New Girl,” said, Margaret Gough, junior class president.

Online television has become a hot commodity for people with hectic schedules. Websites such as Hulu, Xfinitytv.com, and individual network websites like Abcfamily.com broadcast new episodes and clips on a daily basis. Summaries of the diverse new television shows that have premiered this fall can be found on these websites also.

Different Android and Apple apps have been made to receive television shows to your cell phone for people on the go too.

“Senior year is probably my most hectic year yet, with all my college essays, so I love Hulu. It’s crazy convenient,” said Celina Ciuro, senior.

The luxury of viewing favorite shows days after they have premiered has become very popular among student Falcons. Online TV offers limited commercials, on demand viewing, and the convenience of watching wherever and whenever you want.

Unlike the digital video recorder, DVR, provided by different cable companies, websites like Hulu allow unlimited viewing. Whether you are bored at work or studying at Caribou Coffee, you can pull out your cell phone, laptop, iPod, or portable tablet to watch a new episode of your favorite show.
