Sam Bonin is an 18-year-old senior here at Chilton High School who has been voted student of the issue. Sam was nominated by Mrs. Schmitz for her amazing talent and work in art. "I have had the pleasure of having Sam in many art classes and as an independent student. "

Sam continually looks to create a variety of subject mater and perfect her skills. She is a gifted student and I will miss seeing her in my classes next year." comment ed Mrs. Schmitz. Sam is originally from Minnesota. She moved here in 2001 and since has been a member of our community for approximately 10 years. Although Sam does not participate in any sports and is not a member of any clubs, she finds enjoyment in reading and reads a lot during her free time. She also enjoys creative writing and art, which she considers to be her talents and hobbies.

Sam mostly draws with pastels and usually chooses to draw animals. Recently, Sam received a $34, 000 scholarship to St. Norbert College for a major in art and creative writing. Sam applied to St. Norbert but did not apply for the scholarship. Sam later learned that she had received the scholarship in her acceptance letter. Since Sam did not apply for the scholarship, the school gave it to her by looking at her grades and transcripts. Sam looks forward to starting school there in late August she is also thinking of doing independent art and drawing and is hoping to someday sell her art work.
