The Chilton FBLA had six members who went to state. In order to make it to state members had to compete at the regional competition with many other students from different schools to try and advance. The six who advanced on to the state competition were: April Pitzen, Sarah Nagel, Marcus Chaussee, Derek Mueller, Jake Rollmann, and Brady Kees. President, Caitlin Bloomer, accompanied the group on their trip down to Chula Vista, in Wisconsin Dells on April 12th and 13th for the state events. Co-Presidents for the year were April Pitzen and Caitlin Bloomer, Vice President was Cory Mortimer, secretary was Sarah Mortimer, treasurer was Brian Sattler and the reporter was Katie Leitner.
At state FBLA members competed in their events. Brady Kees participated in technology concepts, Derek Mueller took a test on FBLA principles and procedures, Jake Rollmann competed in cyber security and placed eighth, April Pitzen participated in business communications and placed seventh and Marcus Chaussee competed in intro to technology concepts and placed fifth. Sarah Nagel took a test on FBLA principles and procedures and placed 3rd which means she qualified for FBLA nationals in Nashville, Tennessee. Sophomore Marcus Chaussee said, "State FBLA was a great experience, meeting new people and getting together with kids from around the state and hearing their experiences was fun. We competed, voted for new officers, and attended group sessions." Sophomore Derek Mueller said, "FBLA state was a fun and rewarding time away from school for a couple of days in Wisconsin Dells. We went to meetings and some of us had to take tests for our events."
