Jimmie Johnson is an American stock car driver and an El Cajon, California native. As of right now, he currently drives a #48 Lowe’s/Cobalt tools Chevy Impala, which he’s doing pretty well in. He currently stands at first place in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, with 108 points to bring him ahead of 2nd place. On Sunday, April 25, Jimmie Johnson had made his 300th career start, but was involved in some mishaps to then put him at the 30th position at the end of the race. So far during his 2010 racing season, Jimmie led eight starts and has collected three wins, five top fives and six top finishes. When asked about his opinion on Jimmie Johnson’s accomplishments so far this year, freshman Jordan Kuehnl said, "I think that most people are upset with him."
Throughout Jimmie Johnson’s entire career he is the first racer to qualify for the NASCAR Sprint Cup every year since the exact format started back in 2004.
Most people in this country think that Jimmie Johnson would have an amazing career finish this year giving him a huge amount of point standings to make him the top finisher this season. Most of all he would have to cooperate with teammate Jeff Gordon and stop arguing with him about what happened during last Sunday’s race in Talladega. In Jimmie Johnson’s entire career, he covered over 115,501 miles and led a total of 10,036 laps out of 86,573 so far.
