Text-messaging, e-mailing, even shopping – our world as we know it today is brimmed to the top with the comfort of the Internet. Music, television, and movies have all found a place to call their own on the net. And the staff of the Wildcat Tribune decided to do the same; long gone are the days of black-and-white pictures and miniscule print - the Wildcat Tribune has officially gone digital.
With the help of hsj.org (more commonly known as HighSchoolJournalism.org) – funded by the American Society of Newspaper Editors – the Wildcat Tribune and many more throughout the nation could be easily accessed. It also offers readers an eco-friendly alternative to get the inside scoop on the latest school news, interviews, fashion, movies, books, and advice.
The Tribune is divided into six sections – the Front Page, Editorials, Opinions, Features, Entertainment, and Sports. The Front Page consists of main events and breaking news. Editorials and Opinions include comedic sketches, debates, Letters to the Editor, and polls. Features and Entertainment gives you the latest scoop on movies, fashion, music, advice, and books. The Sports section captures all your favorite school sports in one page, from statistics to interviews with the coaches and players themselves.
To access a section of your choosing, click on the links on the top leading to these sections. Choose an article to read – be sure to click 'full story' to open up the full article. When finished reading, simply hit the backspace or click on another section to access more articles. Make sure to drop the Editor a note on your opinions, thoughts, and comments on articles you found intriguing through our e-mail, dvnewspaper@yahoo.com.
