How did you come up with the name “The Wounded Goose” for your restaurant?
She and her friends go camping often and they all made up Indian names for one another and one of her friend’s name is Chief Wounded Goose and she thought it just sounded cool, it was catchy, interesting and not to mention it is definitely different.
What inspired you to open a restaurant?
She likes to cook, and she has always enjoyed working in restaurants. She also comes from a family of business owners so I guess you could say it’s in her blood.
Why did you choose for the location of your restaurant to be in Bidwell?
She hopes it will help improve the economy of Bidwell which is her hometown.
How did you decide upon some of the things on your menu?
Traveling to different places. And research on forgotten favorites.
What do you think of your staff?
“They are a very promising group of young people.”
Why should people come to your restaurant?
Quality and fresh ingredients.
What are your restaurants best qualities?
Quality products, fresh, good value.
What are your favorite breakfast items on the menu?
Peanut butter and jelly stuffed French toast.
What are your favorite dinner items on the menu?
Hot Brown.
What are the most popular items on the menu?
Breakfast: the breakfast bar, Mancakes (3 16 inch pancakes if you can eat them in ), and captain’s toast.
Dinner: Bone in hand breaded fried chicken.

She says she feels lucky to have a career that she enjoys. And she is hoping that next year the new school will bring her even more business.
