Riverchase's volleyball team claims the first ever Shelby County Middle School Sports League! At the championship match held at Chelsea High, RMS defeated Helena Middle 25-9, 21-25, and 15-10 respectively. Competing against Helena meant competing against friends - especially after the two

schools split for the 2008-2009 school year. Alexis Veal and Luisa Gonzalez lead the team to victory – with both players being named to the All-Tournament Team as RMS maintained an undefeatable 3-0 record in the tournament. We would like to congratulate Coach Jones for dedicated countless hours in

preparing, inspiring, and coaching a team of excellence. A heart-felt pat on the back goes out to the entire team for finishing the season with a 9-0 in league play.
