Students turning in their ballot
On Tuesday, October 29, students took advantage of their right to participate in the presidential election process by participating in a mock general election and voting for the next president of the United States. The students had to register to vote to participate in this year’s election. As they arrived at the polling location, students had to check-in with selected student polling officials to ensure they were eligible to vote based on pre-voter registration records on file. Students were given ballots and moments later, they were casting their vote for president. As students submitted their ballot, students received an “I Voted” sticker to show their patriotism. We had an opportunity to talk to two students who participated in the process. Check out page ( ) to read their response to fulfilling their patriotic duties.
