As the boy’s soccer team starts off the season with a record of 4-0-1 they are thundering teams left and right.

In their last game on Nov. 19 against the Atlantic Eagles, John I Leonard shut out the Eagles 3-0 with Aldo De Valle having all three assists and our awesome goalie Francisco Santos with eleven saves. This season looks to be a great one for the Mighty Lancers.

Their next two games will be on Nov. 24 at No.3 Boca Raton, and Dec. 1 at home as they will try to get two huge wins for John I. Leonard that will boost them up in the standings, and keep our goal of district champion and probably making it to states.

Nick Martin Senior said 'That the team this year is full of new and old talent. This team’s biggest obstacle is to stay focused on the prize in front and nothing else. The season is going great; we are beating everyone in our way.'

Aldo Del Valle, star freshman said 'This year, I think our team is really strong. We’ve been practicing extremely hard and putting our best effort into each and every practice. Personally, I think our team will have a remarkable season.'

The most difficult opponent this year is expected to be the No. 6 Forest Hill Eagles. Del Valle said 'I am very confident that we will make the play-offs this year. Soccer is my life, it’s beautiful. Whoever invented Soccer should be worshipped as a god.'

Coach Bill stated 'We have a good team with a lot of young talent. Served returning starters are back from last year’s team. Our biggest obstacle is our youth. We are doing well thus far; this team is a play-off caliber team. Next year this team will be truly great! One of the top teams in the county, as long as they can maintain their grades. This is the beginning of something special that will last for years. The Lancer program is on its way back to greatness.'
