Hurricanes emerging towards your local town, car crashes causing traffic, criminals on the loose, and problems in the media. Who else but our fellow Journalists that will cover the story. Journalists are not just investigators they take their jobs seriously and enjoy it. It is all about taking pride in what you do and do it because you want to. On April 23rd few students had an opportunity to visit the Student Journalism Forum at the School Board Auditorium. I was honored to be chosen by my teacher to go it was one of the most insightful experiences. Being there among journalist's, Daisy Rodriguez(Channel 7), Kathleen Mc Grory(Miami Herald), and Herntz Phanord(TV and Radio), affected my decision of my career choice. Each journalist introduced themselves and shared their experiences. By their enthusiastic voices I could tell that they all show passion and dedication towards their work. I wish that many other students could have gone. You may not want to become a Journalist, but it helps to listen to someone else. It might help you along with your career path. All in all, this forum allowed us to meet these wonderful people that have helped us with the news we see everyday and give us feedback on their expertise.
