(Sept. 29, 2010) -- Having fallen in love with Spain back in college, Autumn Andersen is now sharing her knowledge at Clark for the first time this year. Starting out in her eighth year teaching the subject, Andersen has five periods, all dedicated to teaching Spanish 1-2.

“I felt really passionate about the language and culture,” she said while speaking of studying abroad. “I wanted to tell everybody about it.” Andersen says that her goal as a teacher is to make the culture more accessible to the students and have them learn more than just the language.

As well as being a teacher, she is also the advisor for the class of 2015, the current freshman class. “It’s nice to start out with freshmen and see how they change as the years go on,” said Andersen. “You get really fond of your students.”
