Blue Print 3 by Jay-Z

I had to listen to this cd at least 3 or 4 times before I even thought of picking up a pencil. Out of the dozens of cds he has made, this one is now my favorite. From the first to the last song, I hung on to every word he said and every 808 snare playing in the background. The song “On to the next” is nothing but sick and crazy. It also features Swizz beats. “A star is born” is basically giving props to other artists.  I had this song on repeat for a while. But over all this is one of his best cds since Blue Print 1. I guess he put more time in to this project.

After what I heard on the radio I could not wait to listen to this cd. Her single “Tic tok” made the CD sound like it would be a hit. However, when I finally got the cd it sounded like she was imitating Lady Gaga or Katy Perry. Some songs on the CD are actually ok such as “boots and boys” and “hangover.” Nevertheless other tracks on here I could not listen to at all. They all sounded so similar and were a waste of time. A good example of this would be the song “Stephen.” To me it was trash and after the first 15 seconds I had to change it. But what can I say, for her first CD she must have worked hard for it.
