Halloween is right around the corner and many people have this one question in thought: What should I do for Halloween? Halloween is an enjoyable and spooky holiday full of costumes, horror, adventure, candy, darkness, and evil. Here are 6 outrageously gruesome activities in for this fearful day:
Trick or Treating
Family trick or treating is always a playful way to enjoy Hallows Eve. Get a costume, ring some door bells, get some candy, and trick or treat! You’re never too old to trick or treat.
Decorate Your Lawn or Windows
If you’re not into the whole family-trick-or-treating idea, make an effort to be somewhat creative by garnishing your own house or apartment. Try decorating your lawn and/or windows with frightening images and cool attractions for the trick-or-treaters coming by.
A Parade
As a tradition, New York City hosts a Halloween Parade in the Village from Spring Street to 21st Street along 6 Avenue starting at 7pm every year. This parade features many costumed participants, dancing, artists, and numerous imaginative floats and large-sized puppets. So if you’re into “city exploring,” this would be the best choice for you.
A Zoo
Many zoos host Halloween spectaculars and activities during the month of October such as the Bronx Zoo. This is a great way to spend the day outdoors checking out spine-chilling critters.
Halloween Party
If you like to get down and party the night away, a Halloween bash best suits your plans. Join a costume contest and show off what character you are. Hopefully, you’ll win a cool prize.
Haunted House
For those who enjoy blood-curdling atmospheres, where you might find vampires, mystification, werewolves, bones, blood, spiders, and darkness full of despair, dare to explore some haunted houses in New York City, such as Blood Manor located at 542 W. 27th Street in Manhattan starting at 7:30pm on Halloween Night.
