Blessed Sacrament School, located at 187 Euclid Avenue, had a Catholic School Night on Thursday, October 8. It ran from 7 o ‘clock to 8:30p.m. Students from Blessed Sacrament and other public schools arrived. Many high schools from Brooklyn and Queens like Archbishop Molloy, Bishop Ford, Lourdes Academy, St. Saviour, and of course, St. Joseph High School, attended.

This was a wonderful opportunity for our school to invite more young women to join our community in the year 2010. Many interested girls approached St. Joseph’s table to ask more information about scholarship applications, the academics, extracurricular activities, and our upcoming open house on October 29. Sister Joan Gallagher greeted everyone with an affable smile and answered everyone’s inquiries. She cordially invited parents to the open house to learn why St. Joseph is such an excellent choice for their daughters.

One of the student representatives from our school, Elizabeth Mohabir, said to an eighth grader, “I wake up happy everyday because I’m going to St. Joseph’s. And believe me, it is a really great school.”

Apparently, many girls wish to apply to our school. Nothing but good comments were said by the visitors that night. Surely, many students left impressed and are looking forward to coming to tonight’s Open House.
