In a scrimmage held last Saturday, the Lady Lions basketball team kicked off their 2011 season in Prosper, Texas. The basketball team is excited and determined to start off the new season. Boys basketball's first game will be on Nov. 12. Coach Macklin will step up to the plate as boy's basketball coach. "I'm very excited to work with Coach Macklin this season, it's his first year as head coach," said senior basketball player Albert Rodriguez. "He has shown to be a wonderful and caring coach who puts his athletes before himself and brings nothing but the best out of us." "We have a real positive, enthusiastic team this year with much to look forward too," said Albert. "The pieces are set for us to have a great season. This is 'the' year for Turner basketball."
