Thirty-four high school journalism advisers at the ASNE Institute at the University of California responded to a survey relating to the participants and their respective jobs. The following gives an overview of this year’s participants: Personal Data As shown those married and single were split equally. Females outnumbered males nearly 3 to 1. The group was relatively young, with nearly ¾ being under 40 years and only two over 60. The survey did show a heavy preference for pets, with nearly 80 percent caring for at least one pet, and most felt reasonably active.
