Carly Rae Jepsen has gone from being a hit sensation in Canada to a fresh new artist in the U.S.

That’s because Jepsen, who finished in third place Canadian Idol, is a Justin Bieber favorite and her hit song Call Me Maybe was tweeted by the pop star who instantly fell in love with the song.

Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun signed Jepsen to Braun’s Schoolboy Records and Interscope Records.

The hit single reached into the Top 10 on the iTunes Singles Chart. In Canada the single went double platinum and was No.1 on the Hot 100 chart.

The song was even the first to top the charts since fellow Canadian artist, Justin Bieber’s song Baby.

Numerous celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, and Bieber posted themselves on YouTube lip-synching to the song. Millions of fans joined in on the project.

The pop song has caught my attention with the vibrant music including the sound of violins in the background. The chorus is very catchy and you cannot help but sing along as she talks about a guy she just met, but goes crazy over.

This song is geared more towards young girls who believe in young fun love.
